Service Updates

Service Updates
Service update for customers on Thursday 17th May last updated at 10:58
General update
Normal deliveries and collections took place across almost all of our network yesterday and will continue as normal today. Any service affecting incidents are reported on our regional pages and these will be updated as necessary throughout the day.
The Olympic Torch Relay
The Olympic Torch Relay will take place between Saturday 19th May and Friday 27th July. The relay starts at Land’s End, and visits every part of the UK and every London borough before completing its 8,000 mile journey. Additionally there will be Torch Relay evening celebrations in 70 towns.
There will be official road closures and large crowds are expected to line parts of the route. This will restrict access to some streets and businesses and it may cause some delay or temporary disruption to mail deliveries and collections from businesses, Post Office® branches and post boxes.
We will be working hard to minimise any disruption to services. We’ll provide updates online (and via the Daily Operational Customer Statement) each day of any anticipated impact. Check the official route of the Torch Relay by using the interactive map so you can plan your business activity.
